Lately the Doughnut Economics model has been in the media a lot. It is a more balanced economics system compared to the traditional model based on linear growth, so it also takes things such as sustainability and public welfare into account. We wanted to make a game to teach students about the Doughnut Economy, without it feeling like a big and impersonal issue. We came up with a game called Studo. Studo is a game that doesn’t require a lot of time and effort but still educates students on this subject. While competing against their housemates, players earn points for doing tasks and answering questions correctly in our app. These questions will educate the students about the Doughnut Economy and how it effects the world. The tasks are meant to sustain a balanced household in a student house, for instance by cooking a cheap meal to eat together or taking short showers. At the end of a chosen period of time the players get together and see who has collected the most amount of points by pulling down on the lever and watching the coins fall. The roommate with the most donut coins wins
